So, I had been around for quite some time, and finally decided to register as a member, about a year ago... well, you know why... and only finally decide to upload something about month ago.
So... here it is, my 1st work here at deviant art... the Orc Blademaster from Warcraft 3...It's a bit old now, everyone is playing WOW...I know, I know... I did the pencil work years before, I couldn't really recall when, probably around when I played Warcraft3... I only started coloring it 20th Nov(base on my record), and it took me 10days average 4hours a day, to finish. (well, I ran away for a few days in between
The Only thing not original about this blade master was the font used on the flag he carries... and ok, the blade master idea was from warcraft 3, hey it's a fan art.
All the shinny golden looking equipment, was the reason i call him royal, and not royal for no reason, from some of my understanding, in ancient Japan, only warriors, or samurais who has a noble or royal background were allow to practice advance battle technique, and also they are the only people who has the luxury time to do so... you know, those commoner have to work in the farm to make a living or some sort.
I am not sure how true this is, but it make sense to me, so royal blade master it is... and who cares if it is wrong? Royal sounds more exclusive, no?
Because a master doesn't just rely on brute strength, i believe, it is about strength, skill, and speed, so I added some aura, or "ki" in a more oriental tongue, around him, to give him a tougher, and more phantasm look...and to cover up some flaws, LOL, i didn't do a very good job on his legs, seriously, they look like some green elephant leg.
Oh... I hate explaining actually... I never could stop at where I should... so just forget about it.
Done in PS4 with table, original file size 2048 x 1536 300dpi RGB Color
I have a few shots I got along the way and am considering to upload them in the future to share the progress, how and why i discard or tweak or add some of the elements, and also, hoping to get some comments from there as well, who knows someone might know a better way of doing stuff, right?
